1. Super computer.
Multi user, multi processor, most powerful, large computers of very
high efficiency and storage capacity is called super computer. It is able to
solve complex problems with in a nano seconds. It is fastest and expensive of
all. Supercomputer
is a computer that led the in terms of processing capacity, particularly the
speed of calculation, at the time of its introduction. The term "Super
Computing" was first used by the New
York World newspaper in 1929 to refer target custom-built tabulators IBM
made for Columbia University. It was used to solve problems involving by major
universities, military agencies and scientific research laboratories. Supercomputers are
designed to handle very high volume input and output (I/O) and emphasize
throughout computing.
It is very large in size, must fastest, very storage capacity, more expensive
than other types of computer. so it is called supercomputer. E.G. ERAY-1, CYBER
205 etc.
1. Features of Supercomputer.
- Large in size
